Malta: Premier Capital plc today unveiled its 10th McDonald’s restaurant in Malta in Naxxar Road, Gharghur.

Following an investment of €1.6 million, the new restaurant will operate on a 24-hour basis and features Malta’s sixth McCafé and second drive-thru. It seats 172 guests, 60 of whom willl be accommodated on an ample terrace with stunning views of the sprawling Gharghur valley. Additionally, the restaurant offers a 47-space car park, free Wi-Fi, a gym and fun room, and a party area for McDonald’s younger customers. The restaurant targets customers in the northern part of the island and the numerous commuters who transit through this region every day.

Premier Capital plc is the Developmental Licensee for McDonald’s in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania and Malta. Premier Restaurants Malta Ltd employs 750 staff; Premier Capital plc currently employs more than 2,800 people.

“With this new restaurant, McDonald’s Malta has created another 100 jobs,” Melo Hili, chairman of Hili Ventures Ltd and Premier Capital plc, said. “These employees were recruited under the nationwide recruitment drive held in March when the company recruited more than 250 people.

Our plan is continue to grow: We are looking to open four more restaurants by year end across the territories in which we operate.”

The restaurant was opened in the presence of Gharghur mayor Mario Gauci.
